The short version

- WhyTo tell you about Stow early access and launch. Nothing else.
- TrackingNone. No analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies on stow.nz.
- Your sayAsk to see, fix or remove your details at hello@bryder.co.nz.
This note covers the stow.nz website and the early access list. The Stow apps will have their own privacy policy before they launch.
Who we are
Stow is made by Bryder Holdings Limited, trading as Bryder Group, a New Zealand company based in Invercargill (company number 9414678, NZBN 9429053530134). In this note, "we" and "us" mean Bryder Holdings Limited.
What we collect
When you join the early access list, we keep:
- your email address;
- whether you'd use Stow for personal or work, if you pick one (it's optional);
- the date and time you joined.
To stop bots filling the list, we also keep a scrambled code made from your internet (IP) address, called a hash. It's made with a secret that only our server knows, so it can't be turned back into your IP address. We never store the IP address itself.
If you email us, we keep your email and what you write, so we can answer.
Why we collect it
- Your email address, to tell you about Stow early access and when Stow launches.
- Personal or work, so we know what people want Stow for.
- The IP hash, only to limit how many sign-ups can come from one place in an hour.
We don't sell your details, use them for advertising, or share them for anyone else's marketing. Every Stow email we send will tell you how to stop them.
When you visit stow.nz
- There are no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. The site loads nothing from other companies.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, for a short time, to run the site and stop attacks.
Where it's kept
These providers store or carry information for us, not for their own use. They're overseas, so your details are held outside New Zealand. We stay responsible for them under the Privacy Act 2020.
We also share information when the law requires it, for example with the police when they have a lawful request.
How long we keep it
- Your email and choice: until you ask us to remove them, or until 12 months after Stow launches, whichever comes first. Then we delete them.
- IP hashes: cleared out after about a day.
- Server logs: a short time, by our hosting provider.
How we keep it safe
- Your details travel encrypted between your browser and our services.
- The website can add you to the list, but it can't read the list. Only our team can, through our database provider.
If a privacy breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as we can, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us:
- what information we hold about you, and for a copy of it;
- to correct anything that's wrong;
- to remove you from the early access list.
It's free. Email hello@bryder.co.nz from the address you signed up with, with "Privacy" in the subject, or call 03 218 3249. We'll check it's really you, then reply within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or on 0800 803 909.
